When is paid parking in effect?
Paid parking is in effect daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, beginning Memorial Day Weekend through Columbus Day.
How much does parking cost?
Parking is $3.50 per hour.
How do I pay for parking?
Parking is managed through the ParkMobile app. Users can pay directly through the app using their smartphone, by texting the code listed on the signs, or by calling the toll-free number listed on the signs.
Where are the paid parking zones?
Paid parking is currently active on Front Street, Main Street, the two westernmost lots on Adams Street, and the Adams Street lot between First Street and Main Street.
Is free parking available anywhere in the Village?
Yes. The parking lots near the MTA are free, as well as all the IGA parking lots. Time limits may apply. In addition to these lots, parking is free on all side streets within the Village.
I have a handicapped sticker. Do I have to pay to park?
No. If you have a visible handicapped parking permit or license plate, you do not have to pay to park, whether you are parked in a designated handicapped space or a regular metered space. Handicapped parking permits can be obtained through the Clerk’s Office at Village Hall.
Who operates the parking system?
The parking system is operated by ParkMobile, which administers payment processing and enforcement support services.
Does ParkMobile keep any of the revenue?
Yes. Under the Village agreement, ParkMobile retains 15% of collected parking revenue for operating the system and processing payments.
What happens to the parking revenue collected by the Village?
Revenue collected by the Village helps support general Village operations and services.
In addition, 10% of the Village’s parking revenue share is specifically dedicated to road and sidewalk repairs and improvements.
Why did the Village implement paid parking?
The paid parking program was implemented to:
• Improve parking turnover
• Help manage seasonal parking demand
• Support Village services and infrastructure
• Reduce the financial burden on local taxpayers
Is parking enforced during the season?
Yes. Parking regulations are enforced during the paid parking season.
What happens if I do not pay for parking?
Vehicles parked in paid parking areas without payment may be subject to parking violations and fines in accordance with Village regulations.
Where can I download the ParkMobile app?
The ParkMobile app is available for both Apple and Android devices through their respective app stores.
